Its good for looking at nice pictures.. Since this is the shorter version of another bonsai book, a lot of info is left out, like how to do things step by step. I realize these are just tips but if you are getting tips then that most likely means you’re more of a beginner and if that’s the case then the lack of step-by-step instructions makes it not the best books for beginners.I would suggest you try to get a more fuller book if you really want to get serious.

Not a Guide If it hadn’t only been $5, I would have returned it. I was looking for a book to get started with bonsai but this book is terrible. If you only have an interest in looking at pictures of bonsai and not in growing them, you might like this book. If you actually want to try your hand at the art, look elsewhere for a guide because this one won’t even get you started. It would be an okay book for a children’s classroom to introduce them to something new but is otherwise useless.A lot…

This would make a great addition to a gift set for someone wanting to get started with bonsai. Bonsai – 101 Essential Tips, won’t be the only book I read on the subject, but it is great for a beginner to bonsai. It was only $5 at the time of purchase, and a very good value for that price.This is the size of a pocket book rather than a full sized book. I wish that this had been even more in depth. Maybe that would discourage some people from the hobby though.This was a concise overview and how to. It explained the history, why to do it, ways to get started…
